IT Support Technician

We are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Technician on a full-time permanent contract to join the team at our client's head office in Telford.

Annual Salary:
£25.000/£ depending on experience)

Responsibilities

The role will involve:


Reporting and communicating with the Head of IT you will be maintaining and running all network and hardware requirements for two sites within the Shropshire area.


Requirements:


  • New User/PC setup, occasional PC/Server Build
  • Network config & use. Switching & Cat6 termination
  • Working in Office 365 Environment.
  • Administration of Anti-Virus software
  • Repairing Hardware such as Laptops, PCs and Printers to minimise disruption to end users
  • Contribute to department knowledgebase
  • Remote support via TeamViewer
  • Assisting with ongoing IT projects
  • Respond to system down requests immediately
  • Create and maintain company reports
  • End user Support.

Skill Set

  • A qualification/education in an IT related field
  • Previous experience in an IT Helpdesk/Project environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills,
  • Experience with Office 365 administration,
  • Experience of Virtual machines.
  • VPN Knowledge.
  • Proven experience of troubleshooting Hardware and Software problems
  • Ability to work independently or part of a small team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with nontechnically minded end users
  • Liaising with 3rd party support teams/consultants
  • Ability to prioritise workload
- 'Can-do' positive attitude essential

  • Quick to learn and able to adapt to change of environment
  • Due to the nature of the role a flexible approach to working hours is required as out of hours support maybe required
  • Willingness to learn new skills
