Farm Shop Retail Manager, Full time role, 40 hours per week, Family business £27-30k

You will be leading the retail operation and managing a team of full and part time colleagues with an eye on the stock and merchandising.

So, what will you be doing as the Farm Shop Retail Manager

Lead on buying activities across the business for both the food and gift sections.
Ensure that stock is ordered in a correct and timely manner to ensure that all produce and gifts reflect seasonal changes and events.
Monitor stock holdings and ensure that they are within agreed levels.
Monitor and reduce wastage across the retail area to mínimal levels.
Identify aged and redundant stock items and ensure they are moved on efficiently and profitable
Merchandise the retail display area for food and gifts, ensuring that all products are displayed clearly, are accurately priced and signage is correct and up to date.
Identifying new sales opportunities and bring them in to the retail area swiftly.
Identifying appropriate promotions that link across the business.
Analysing sales performance daily and weekly.
Investigating budget anomalies across the retail area.
Ensuring that stock is managed against budgets and target margins are maintained and exceeded.
Managing and recruiting for a small team of full and part time colleagues
Managing the day to day running of the business in the absence of Operations Manager & Directors.

This role will be over 5 days working one day over the weekend and having a day off in the week.

So, as the Farm Shop Retail Manager what will you need to have?

Experience of working within a retail establishment within the food sector in a management or lead role

A real passion for food

A desire to bring new ideas to an already successful and happy shop and in return you will receive a competitive salary, pension and other benefits
