Key Responsibilities of a Social Media Executive:

  • Support the development of a social media and content strategy
  • Create, schedule and post content on social channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter and the national website
  • Drive, monitor and respond to conversations on our social media channels
  • Lead on regular reporting of social media channels and content performance
  • Act as a first point of content for all social media requests across the organisation to understand and support their social media names
  • Keep up to date with best practice and digital developments across our main social media channels
  • Adapt our clients extensive archive of research, information, and advice to suit different platforms and diverse audiences
  • Monitor the news, social platforms, and popular culture to spot opportunities to introduce our client to new audiences, connecting our products and services with the conversations of the day
  • Assess the performance of content and make suggestions as to what our client should prioritise in the future
  • Devise, deliver and evaluate experiments on new platforms where appropriate e.g. TikTok, Reddit, podcasting.
  • Analyse reporting on social performance, trends, and new opportunities and deliver those insights across the team
  • Brilliant copywriting, editing and storytelling skills
  • Experience in managing social media accounts speaking to the general public
  • Demonstrable experience in creating a broad range of content to meet the needs of diverse communities, across a range of platforms, preferably with an audience growth and engagement focus
  • Experience with a range of content design tools such as graphic design, video production, and audio editing
  • A proven ability to write in an organisation's voice for different audiences
  • Proven understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, blogging etc., and what makes content on those platforms engaging
  • Experience of developing social media plans across a range of platforms
  • A demonstrable ability to analyse data and insights to adapt and improve social media strategies
  • Experience of effective, persuasive and adaptive communication to a wide range of audiences, across different platforms
