About the role
We are looking for someone that will drive business growth by sourcing new opportunities for our cybersecurity team. You will have your own network of industry contacts and an understanding of routes to market for our services.
We'd like you to represent Waterstons at industry events, identifying opportunities to improve our visibility in the marketplace and build relationships.

Day to day responsibilities
- Networking and building strong relationships across organisations involved in developing cyber as a sector (Information Security groups, Universities, Government organisations)
- Finding additional networks and routes to clients
- Presales assistance with a good understanding of Waterstons core cyber offerings
- Attending events and working with our marketing team to hosting and run our own events
- Winning new work for Waterstons from Scottish clients
Some of the skills we are looking for
Essential
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, products and services
- Proven experience in business development or sales within cybersecurity
- Excellent networking skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to identify and navigate new routes to market
Nice to have
- Experience attending, presenting at and leveraging industry events for business development
- Strong collaborative approach to working with other teams
- Ability to translate technical information into businessoriented proposals
- Strategic mindset with the ability to foresee market trends and opportunities
