Occupational Health Technician

Location:
Midlands/Northern region staying away from home Monday to Friday

Job Type:
Permanent FT mainly covering the Midlands/Northern region

Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit an occupational health technician on a permanent basis This post is peripatetic and will require travelling to undertake health surveillance/medicals at various locations.

Overnight stays will be requiredfor this post and will frequently be for a whole week. This job requires good organisational, communication and time management skills. Administrative support is given by contract administrators with regards to clinic organisation. The range of duties incorporatesa full varied occupational health screening as outlined below. A qualification in Occupational Health is not required for this position.
Main

Responsibilities:

Undertake health surveillance screening as requested
Undertake audiometry, lung function, skin assessments, mask face fit testing, vision screening
Undertaking routine medicals screening e.g. drivers medicals, safety critical medicals ahead of the Occupational Health Physician fitness sign off
Undertaking chain of custody drug & alcohol testing
Undertaking phlebotomy
Undertaking vaccinations (with training)
