The role


The role holder will be pivotal in monitoring and ensuring the timely implementation of the SAM Operating Plan and the Net Zero Carbon (NZC) Strategy as one of the projects that underpin its successful delivery.


The primary responsibility of the role holder will be to monitor and report on progress against the decarbonisation of Orbit's asset portfolio, identifying risks and where mitigation actions may be required.


Track the overall NZC programme plan through the development of robust processes and co-ordination of activities, resources, equipment, and information.

Support the NZC Energy Performance Operations Manager and act as the information hub and responsible reporting officer for the overall SAM Operating plan and Net Zero Carbon Strategy


This role is part of Customer & Communities where you'll help us to lead the way keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers.

The role internally will be referred to as a Data and Reporting officer


What you'll achieve

  • Responsible for producing internal and external project reports including monthly and interim decarbonisation project progress report(s) for the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS)
  • Tracking status of SAM Operating Plan and Net Zero Carbon Strategy deliverables and milestones and providing weekly/monthly/quarterly reports
  • Working with the Finance Business Partner to track and record project spend and ensuring grant claim forms are completed correctly
  • Provide project office support including production and maintenance of risk registers, benefits tracking, change controls and meeting support etc.

What you'll bring

Essential skills

  • Experience in a Project Management Office environment (PMO qualifications are a benefit but not essential)
  • Experienced in preparing reports and summarising data
  • Be able to draw conclusions from complex data, presenting it back in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience of managing small projects or substantial parts of the project lifecycle
  • Financial and analytical skills
