Description

We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated researcher to work in a programme of research that aims to investigate molecular mechanisms that underpin the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease.

The study will involve the use of CRISPRi screens to elucidate molecular mechanisms in iPSC-based models as well as interrogation of pathways identified from previous studies in the lab.

As such, the post will offer an excellent opportunity for mechanistic research and drug target identification in Parkinson's disease using state-of-the-art models and facilities available at the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery and Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford.

The post-holder with also benefit from and be exposed to interactions with Industry and work alongside a multidisciplinary team in the Molecular Neurodegeneration Research Group.

The post holder will have an aptitude for mechanistic studies with proven track record of research in cellular and molecular biology as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, and the enthusiasm to lead a project as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

The post is suitable for a post-doctoral researcher but may also be offered to a research assistant with substantial previous relevant experience.

**Interviews will be held as soon as possible thereafter.
