NHS Fife have positions available for Health Records Clerical Officers. We are looking for individuals who are organised and have a positive approach to work.

They should be ready for a challenge and also enjoy working as part of a team. Duties will include all aspects of using a computerised Switchboard to handle calls and respond to queries. You, once trained, will also be required to carry out scanning duties along with covering A&E reception desk.

This posts will require shift work to cover the 24 hour; 365 Days a year operation of the Switchboard Service including public holidays.

The posts require excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and will involve handling calls into the Switchboard from both internal and external callers, responding to pager requests, responding to emergency calls, monitoring alarms and providing advice and support on telephony services to NHS employees and the public.

Full training will be given but knowledge of NHS Fife would be an advantage. The posts are based at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. Training will initially be carried out during daytime hours Monday to Friday prior to starting shift pattern.

Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part time hours.
