We are offering the chance for aspiring apprentices to join a specialist residential care and education provider as Residential Care Workers.

By working as part of a team, you will be acting as a key worker and providing care for young people.


About the Employer
Your Chapter provide high quality specialist services for children who have experienced sexual trauma and/or abuse.

We currently have teams in over 17+ residential homes across the Northwest, Shropshire, Wales, and Yorkshire, operating from a Head Office in Cheadle, Greater Manchester.


About the Role
To provide advice, assistance, and support to young people, safeguarding their welfare at all times. To attend to their practical, physical, and emotional needs.

To act as an appropriate role model and to work closely with them to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.

To work with the Clinical Team to promote, deliver and create a Therapeutic Environment.


Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Attending young people's meetings and contributing to them
  • Receiving training appropriate to the role and maintaining an uptodate training profile
  • Responsibility for the accurate maintenance of financial records appropriate to the duties of the post
  • Responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of self and colleagues in accordance with the requirements of the organisational Health and Safety policies
  • To carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the line manager.

About the Training


This Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner apprenticeship training programme develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to work with children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes and sustainable change in their everyday lives.


You will study elements such as child development, safeguarding, multi-agency working, health, wellbeing & resilience, assessment & planning, theory and legislation, equality & diversity, complex disabilities and conditions and the educational requirements of children/young people in residential childcare.


At the end of this training programme, you will be also be awarded a Level 3 TQUK Diploma in Residential Childcare.

£ per week


Working hours:

This role will include shift work involving evenings, weekends and sleeps (including a sleep-in allowance), equating to 37.5 hours per week.
