A highly reputable school in Berkshire is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team, assisting the Bursar with all financial and accounting management.


This individual will have a strong track record within Finance and hold the appropriate qualifications such as CIMA, ACA or ACCA.

They are looking for someone who is passionate about working in the education sector and working at a strategic level to leadall elements of the finance function.

This is a busy and varied role so requires someone to be dynamic, flexible and a natural leader.


Skills and experience required:

  • Confident preparing extensive financial management reports and analysis.
  • Deliver information on the general financial position of the school including creditors, debtors, payroll and cashflow.
  • Oversee the submission of VAT returns and tax matters.
  • Challenge processes and continually seek ways to improve the function.
  • Previous people management experience is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a busy workload with competing demands.
  • Previous experience working within a school environment is not essential.


Whilst this is not a term-time only position, the client is open to discussing flexible working patterns for the right person.
