Our Supported Living Service provides care packages and support up to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for adults / young individuals aged 16-65.

Encouraging and supporting through Positive Behaviour Support
Individuals within our Supported Living Services may display behaviours that challenge, including emotional and behavioural difficulties, attachment, and mental health issues.
All individuals will have the opportunity to participate in social activities, which will help develop individual's social skills, which are vitally important for progression and social interaction.
Individuals will be encouraged to develop independent living skills by managing money, learning safe domestic tasks and developing cooking skills by experimenting with new ideas.
The team are fully trained at Level 1 in Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI) and trained in Level 2 where required.
The emphasis is on reducing the distress that an individual may experience that can result in them presenting with behaviour of concern.
Following the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), we seek to understand the cause of the distress enabling the team to be proactive in using primary prevention strategies.
Staffing Matters
Our Supported Living is supported under the guidance of our operations manager.
Our operations manager is dedicated and passionate about the support and care of individuals; she has made it her mission to provide a person-centred service where the individuals we support are at heart.
This is a passion that the Registered Manager also mirrors, this is filtered through the whole team and Kingdom Youth Services and we have a dedicated managerial team.
The Support Team
Training
The Supported Living Team will receive an extensive and robust training package. The team will be confident and competent, specialising in Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI).
In addition, mandatory training includes but is not limited to; Safeguarding Adults, First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Safety, Health and Safety, Administration of Medicines, Mental Capacity Act 2005 & DoLs, Policies and Practices within services.
Support Staff members will be expected to hold or be willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
The senior support staff will be expected to have or be willing to work towards the Level 4/5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.
Location
We have several homes throughout Swindon; a driver would be preferred but not essential.
Staff are expected to work over several different homes and be able to access these homes with their own transport.
We endeavour to support individuals to access the wider community meaning there will be expectations to travel by public transport and help the individuals with travel training.
Essential
All staff, in line with employment law, are required to be able to speak English to an understandable level for the individuals we support.
Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, a public sector worker is determined to be 'public-facing' if, as a regular and intrinsic part of their role, they are required to speak to members of the public in English or in Wales in English or Welsh.
This is described in Part 7 of the Act as a 'customer-facing role' and defined in Section 77(7) of the Act.
Job Types
We currently have days and evenings, Full time (40hrs), part time (30hrs) and Bank.
Wake nights are also available

£ £12.50 per hour
