THE COMPANY

Focus Independent Adult Social Work is a member led, Community Interest Company (CIC) delivering statutory social services, including safeguarding, for adults in North East Lincolnshire.

Formed in 2013, we employ approximately 160 staff and work collaboratively with local charities, other social enterprises, the local Council and Health organisations to improve the well-being of local people whilst delivering an ethical and caring social work service.

We are based in modern riverside offices close to the town centre and are keen to promote and support flexible working.

THE ROLE
As our current Chief Executive is retiring, we are seeking a replacement.

We are looking for someone who can build on the good work that has already been done, and to help shape our future direction, priorities and culture, whilst ensuring we retain our core values.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual, an exceptional leader who can inspire and empower people to achieve organisational objectives in line with local, regional and national priorities.

Reporting directly to the Focus Board, you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the statutory Adult Social Work function within North East Lincolnshire (Statutory accountability for Adult Social Care remains with the DASS who is employed by the Local Authority).

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to be a qualified Social Worker, with high levels of knowledge, understanding and experience of working in Adult Social Care.

You will need to have a successful leadership track record, be highly strategic and have the ability to think long-term and horizon scan.

You will demonstrate high levels of personal credibility and act as an ambassador for the organisation, cultivating positive relationships across a diverse range of partner agencies.

You will be adept at managing through complexity, be able to translate a vision into strategy and lead a highly dedicated senior leadership team and staff through positive change.
