Product Manager

Location - Paddock Wood, Kent

Salary - Depends on Experience

We have an amazing opportunity in Paddock Wood for a Product Manager to work for one of our clients. In this role you will be working full-time.


Responsibilities

  • Daily assessment/appraisal of stock position on all categories from an age and quality perspective
  • Call samples of fruit from Storage for assessment where necessary
  • Ensure fruit is packed based on fruit assessment
  • Advise Production/QA of challenging pallets or consignments
  • Raise disposal requests or highlight stock for market/charity where not in saleable condition
  • Daily documented assessments of fruit performance on the line
  • Feedback to QA Team to override initial intake assessments where gradeouts differ greatly from anticipated %
  • Daily assessment/appraisal of packed stock position
  • Manage packahead planning based on raw material assessments
  • Monitor condition and communicate issues with any market, CAT III, charity or sample pallets or cases
  • Assess and communicate where Daily Shelf-Life Failures could impact on complaints, stock usage or purchase decisions
  • Ensure new products are set up according to the relevant Supply Chain and Technical Account Managers requirements
  • Create purchase orders for all incoming materials
  • Process goods receipting of all arrivals
  • Enter all data for jobs processed through packhouse
  • Coordinate and communicate to all relevant stakeholders incoming stock arrival
  • Work with production to ensure correct labour levels are maintained based on raw material usage

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to understand and interpret specifications and use as a basis for routine decisionmaking and actions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience within a qualityrelated function in fresh produce
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports
  • Supply Chain, Planning, or Procurement experience
  • Attention to detail
