What you'll be doing:
- Leading a team of logisticians in the key development lifecycle of the product
- KPI reporting
- Reviewing risks and opportunities around inventory and enablement dependencies
- Implementing the principles of operational excellence within your area (e.g. Lean Logistics, Customer Service excellence
- Developing the team and promoting learning and development within the team
- Implementing company safety, health, and environment (SHE)
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience in Managing/Leading team
- Working experience of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Infor LN/SAP or similar)
- An ability to engage, motivate and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. This includes taking pride in your work and lead the tasks that are assigned to your team to see them through to completion, with an analytical approach. This will showcase confidence and the capability to work independently and lead team problem solving for the development of short
- Be proficient in the use of IT, especially the MS Office suite (particularly proficient in the use of MS Excel)
Desirable:
- An understanding of Production Control & Logistics concepts, systems and relevant business processes. This includes experience in a manufacturing/procurement/supply chain environment
- Hold professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain body, or be willing to work towards it e.g. APICS CPIM, CILT

The Asset Management Team:
The Asset Management Team cover a wide variety of areas, looking at the controls of our customer and company owned property across the AIR Sector.
We govern on-site tool stores and manage off-site storage whilst providing governance, assurance and support to those who have custodianship of assets (mainly tooling).
We aim to ensure that AIR Sector complies with company policies, and also MoD/ US DoD Regulations across all our aircraft manufacturing and support contracts.
