Butler Ross have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to come and join a Life Science and Healthcare company based in Cambridge, this role offers flexible working with 2/3 day hybrid split.

This role is working in an dynamic company who provide advanced therapiesto the market and paving the way with technical advancements.

Duties of the Buyer

Leading and promoting excellent supplier relationships.
Working closely with both indirect and direct categories.
Receive demand plans for processing to purchase orders, purchase order management and expediting orders.
Working closely with multiple sites across the UK and US.
Understand budgets, identifying and implementing cost reduction and cost avoidance.
Continuous improvement mindset, always striving for the very best.
Creating tenders, negotiating with suppliers to agree prices, delivery schedules and exclusivity deals.

Experience required for the Buyer

Proven experience as a buyer with knowledge/experience in one of the following industries; Biopharma, Pharmaceutical, life science and healthcare or research and development.
Strong knowledge of strategic and operational procurement processes.
Ideally degree educated with CIPS or working towards CIPS.
Highly analytical with the ability to prioritise tasks.

Salary:
£30,000 - £40,000
