HR Officer - Northampton - £ £5000 car allowance - Hybrid Working

HR Officerto join their team.

Our client is a people-orientated logistics business who are present around the globe and are looking to further expand their presence here in the United Kingdom.

Our client is looking for someone who is hands-on to work within the HR department and is comfortable working with complex ER cases.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the HR Officer include:

  • Providing appropriate, accurate and consistent advice to management and stuff on all Company HR related policies/procedures and employee relation issues
  • Managing attendance management, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Dealing with performance management
  • Being involved with TUPE processes and contract termination procedures
  • Attending disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings, taking accurate and appropriate notes and ensuring subsequent investigations are carried out to meet both company and legal requirements for a fair and consistent procedure.
  • Supporting and advising managers during business restructures/changes to ensure fair and consistent procedures are adhered to
  • Maintaining an uptodate knowledge of employment legislation and company policy to ensure a service which properly balances best practice, compliance, and commercial pragmatism
  • To support employee managers in welfare and capability processes, including managing occupational health referrals to ensure cases are managed in a timely, professional manner giving due consideration to all factors and support opportunities

Requirements for the HR Officer role:

  • Level 5 CIPD
  • Demonstratable experience in a HR Officer or similar level position
  • Sound knowledge of employment law, particularly relating to disciplinary, absence management and equality
  • Knowledge of HR best practice
  • Experience of working in a fastpaced environment
  • Good time management skills
  • Practical problemsolving ability
