The focus will be bacterial enteric pathogens and through our partners in lower/middle-income countries (LMICs), you will have unparalleled access to structured samples and metadata to address fundamental questions around disease susceptibility and transmission and the interaction of pathogenic bacteria with environmental and human microbiomes.

The team has specialist interest and expertise in the evolution and spread of diarrhoeal and tropical diseases (studying pathogen[s], their host[s] and the role of the microbiota in disease).

The team has a broad range of lab and informatic experience and works collaboratively to analyse complex datasets. We have a history of developing novel computational and lab-based approaches for accessing genomic and transcriptomic data.
