Group Head of Enterprise Solutions - Glasgow - up to £130000
An exciting, newly created role for this successful global marine technology and service solutions provider, will be instrumental in driving the direction of Enterprise-wide and digital solutions


Reporting into the CIO, The Head of Enterprise Solutions will drive the design authority, assuring that design and delivery teams connect business need with technology solutions.

This technology solutions role will ensure Information and Business Technology Services continue to provide customer centric solutions. Including being accountable for managing the portfolio of systems and the associated architecture.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Define the technology vision, enabling innovation and digital trends that create business value, address issues and assist in the delivery of strategic initiatives
  • Lead the translation of business requirements into Information Technology solutions, investment and migration roadmaps, using advanced technology knowledge and skills
  • Act as an internal technical solutions consultant, overseeing architectural best practice to define the asis and tobe architectures and ensure realisable solution architectures
  • Participate in the software development life cycle, providing technical direction and architectural oversight to the engineering team
  • Has indepth understanding of the competitive landscape, emerging technologies and platforms to ensure continuous process and product improvement

Ideally, you will have:


  • Strong experience and be knowledgeable across multiple technologies, architectural styles, design patterns, coding best practices, development environments and methodologies
  • Proven track record of leading multiple, large, crossfunctional teams or projects, and influencing seniorlevel management and key stakeholders
  • Good understanding of security architecture; using and deploying on Cloud based platforms; as well as an understanding of using webbased APIs and web services.
  • Ability to work in a distributed and matrixed organisation and comfortable with both, navigating ambiguity and operating in business situations that involve a high level of uncertainty and discovery
  • Proven track record of mentoring and leading teams, improving technical knowledge base, and creating technically agnostic development environments
