Description

The Centre for Law, Medicine and Life Sciences (LML) seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Projects Coordinator to assist the Director and Deputy Director with the Centre's research, general management, and administration.

LML works on legal and ethical challenges at the forefront of medicine and the life sciences, with projects at the international, national, and local levels.

The Projects Coordinator at LML is not a typical research position. The Coordinator supports the Centre's Directors with strategic planning and helps oversee the Centre's staff and activities. This includes research, collaborations, fundraising, events and conferences, publications, administration, communications, and other programmatic activities.

The position would suit an individual who is interested in research co-ordination and dissemination, and who can identify and deliver support to advance the Centre's public profile and impact among academics, policymakers, practitioners and students.

The position would be appropriate for a law graduate, or an experienced academic or lawyer returning to work after a career break.

The position would also suit a high-achieving graduate from a Masters of Bioethics programme. We are looking for someone excited to maximise the opportunity.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 17 September 2024 in the first instance.

The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
