The Surgical Directorate is offering an exciting opportunity as an Endoscopy Admin Lead and JAG Facilitator.

The post holder will be managing the day to day activities within Endoscopy to continually improve patient flow, deliver high quality patient care and achieve the most efficient and cost effective use of resource.


The key roles for this post are to manage and co-ordinate the administration work required for the daily running of the Endoscopy Unit and also the Joint Advisory Group on Endoscopy (JAG) accreditation process in conjunction with the Clinical Service Lead, Clinical Service Manager and Endoscopy Lead Nurse.

This includes coordinating the submission of the Global Rating Scale (GRS) census which need to be completed twice a year, and supporting the unit with the administrative duties required to attain JAG accreditation status.


The post holder will line manage the team of reception staff and undertake the system manager role for the Hospital Integrated Clinical Support System (HICCS) in Endoscopy.


Musgrove Park Hospital is situated in the South West of England in the county town of Taunton, close to J25 of the M5 motorway, 48 miles south of Bristol and is 2 hours by rail from London.

The Vale of Taunton sits between 2 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Quantock and Blackdown Hills, and is within easy reach of the North Devon and Dorset coasts.


Musgrove Park Hospital provides acute health services for its local population of around 340,000 people, and provides specialist services for a larger population of around 544,000 people.


The Endoscopy Admin Lead and JAG Facilitator is responsible for managing and co-ordinating the administration work required for the daily running of the Endoscopy Unit and also the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) on Endoscopy accreditation process.


The post holder will co-ordinate data, ensure audits are undertaken, ensure policies are reviewed in a timely manner and co-ordinate an annual plan to ensure all the work required for JAG accreditation is completed and signed off at governance meetings.


The post holder will have close working links with the Endoscopy Admissions Team and the Clinical Nursing staff within the Endoscopy Department.
