Aberdeen-based Plant Fitter opportunity with Activus Recruitment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the maintenance and efficiency of heavy plant equipment, requiring independence, expertise in fault diagnosis, and the ability to carry out repairs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on heavy plant machinery.
Conduct regular maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety (H&S) standards at all times.
Collaborate with the plant maintenance team to meet operational demands.
Maintain accurate service records and complete necessary documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering Background: Proven experience as a mechanical engineer or fitter, preferably in the heavy plant or quarrying industry.
Technical Expertise: Strong skills in fault diagnosis and machinery repair.
Adaptability: Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Attention to Detail: Focus on safety and high standards of quality.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel to various sites as required.
Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills to handle the demands of a busy maintenance division.
