Database and Project Manager

NHS Hospital Charity

Up to £48,000

12 month fixed term contract - with intention to extend to permanent

London hybrid with very flexible working arrangements

This is a brand new and growing charity in support of some of London's major hospitals.

There are 13 on the team and you will play a vital role in managing the Raiser's Edge CRM to make sure donations and supporter data is processed efficiently and well.

You'll be working with a passionate and dedicated team who know what they are doing but be part of the start-up environment as this charity develops and really gets going from a strong start.

You'll need to be comfortable with new developments and change and you'll benefit from seeing the charity progress and supporting major cutting edge NHS work.

Database Management

Be the principal manager of the Raiser's Edge NXT database
Ensure that processes and procedures on the fundraising database system are followed at all times and that all changes or additions are recorded timely and accurately
Ensure that all donations are recorded promptly and accurately
Responsible for overseeing guidelines on GDPR, Trust policy on information governance and Trust policies on internal and external charities within the fundraising team
Check and update donor details on Raiser's Edge CRM and to correctly record personal details and financial information ensuring confidentiality is upheld in accordance with the data protection act. Ensure RE records match with UCLH Charity donor information
Generate new ideas and processes in relation to Raiser's Edge NXT database improvement with a view to improving donor care and increasing individual donations
Undertake internal and external surveys to improve donor relations, increase donations and benchmark against other charities and provide feedback and analysis upon the completion of projects

Project Management and Reporting

Work closely with fundraising team to lead and manage on various stewardship projects, such as newsletters, campaign and appeal implementation via print, online and postal mailings, and charitably funded projects across the trust
Manage the four Tap to Donate fundraising units across Trust sites, ensure each unit is working properly, troubleshoot and solve any problems, using good judgement to escalate as and when needed
Create standard donation and ad hoc financial reports from queries on RE database on a weekly and monthly basis as required
Manage external 3rd party payment platforms, all maintenance and reporting
Work with fundraising communications team to produce the data to disseminate charity literature/materials such as fundraising booklets, leaflets and appeal literature.
Work with the fundraising team as and when to implement donor stewardship and fundraising events (internal and external)
Liaise with Head of Charitable Giving and Head of Fundraising to coordinate the relevant data and manage major donor tours, recognition meetings and thank you events, ticketing and reporting.

Donor Care

Provide support as directed to Head of Charitable Giving and Head of Fundraising with donor care acknowledgements, certificates, presentations, meetings, events, etc.
Provide excellent donor support; motivating, supporting and retaining existing supporters
Deal sensitively and professionally with patients, families or carers that may wish to fundraise, donate or be involved with work of the Hospital.
