World of Sweets Group are one of the UK's leading confectionery and snacking suppliers incorporating Bobby's Foods, Hancocks Cash & Carry and Bonds of London.

We are all things confectionery and snacking from branded chocolate, American novelty, our famous Bobby's crisps and cakes to pick and mix.

Along with our commercial and field sales teams we have 14 cash & carries, over 100 vans on the road selling every day and two distribution sites across the UK.

We are currently looking to recruit at National
HR Advisor to join our group People team.

This role will be a key part of the team supporting the Senior Group HR Manager to lead on all Employee Relations and other key HR projects across the group.


We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in HR ideally within a busy and fast paced environment previously.

This role will be varied from managing complex disciplinary or grievance cases, to answering various questions and concerns from our colleagues to working with the team to delivery our HR and Engagement strategy across the group.


Our Head office is in Loughborough (LE11 5TX)and our main distribution sites are based in Nottinghamshire (S80 2RS and NG17 5LD), however, this role will need to be flexible in travelling throughout the UK at times.

This role will be expected to work from our Head office and/or distribution centres at least once a week, we operate a hybrid approach with the teams spending circa 60% of their time on site and 40% of their time remotely/at home.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a high quality, efficient, customer focussed HR Advisory service to all our sites nationally across the UK.
  • Advise and mentor line managers and colleagues on our policies and procedures.
  • Support both line managers and colleagues along with managing all processes around both disciplinary and grievances processes, ensuring company policy and procedures are followed along with relevant employment law.
  • Management of all colleague maternity and paternity, ensuring all relevant parties follow company policy/procedure along with continual support and contact for colleagues and line managers throughout.
  • Management of all longterm sick cases, carrying our welfare reviews, working with occupational health and colleagues to facilitate their return to work.
  • Continually monitor and partner with line managers around colleague absence to highlight trends, reviewing return to works and supporting line managers on relevant conversations that should be had with colleagues or supporting colleagues as and when needed.
  • To support and manage the performance management processes with line managers, ensuring policy and procedure is followed when dealing with performance issues.
  • Ensuring quality and accurate recording of all employee relation case work e.g. Minutes, letters, actions etc.
  • Working closely with the Group Senior HR Manager on various projects across the group.
  • Working with the Talent and Development Lead to assist and support with interviews and training.
  • Developing and updating company policies and procedures as and when required in line with new employment legislation for example.


This role will be varied and interesting with very few days ever being the same, if this sounds like something that interests you and you have experience within a HR Advisor, Officer or Senior Administration role previously within HR, have a keen eye for details and excellent communication skills then this role maybe for you.

This role will require the successful individual to have a Full UK Driving License. A company car or car allowance is available.


Salary:
£28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
