Purpose
Working together to deliver homes and communities where residents feel happy and secure.


Key Responsibilities:

Uphold SHPs Values, Behaviours & Leadership expectations at all times (see overleaf)

Administer the Health and Safety Management System for Sutton Housing Partnership.


Assist in the efficient running of compliance and Health and Safety contracts, projects and programmes with particular attention to maintaining and updating contract records, financial information and compliance data.

Ensure that all Health and Safety related meetings are properly planned, resourced, and minuted. This may include occasional attendance at meetings outside of office hours.

Responsible for providing weekly, monthly and other performance indicators and reports as required and maintaining relevant data and systems.

Responsible for providing fire risk assessment and asbestos information to colleagues as required.

Responsible for updating and co-ordinating the monitoring, distribution and completion of fire risk assessment actions and to.

Coordinate and organise staff and Health and Safety events.

Research and coordinate Health and Safety training activities.


Research legislation, Regulation, Approved Codes of Practice and Guidance to assist in the development of Health and Safety Policies, Procedures and Risk Assessments.


Issue compliance and health and safety related purchase orders, variations, instructions and other contractual documents and assist in investigating and resolving any discrepancies identified in contractor claims, projections and other financial records.


Assist in the maintenance of the records required arising from procurement and management of contractors and consultants, such as evidence of H+S compliance, pre-qualification information, and signed and sealed contracts; ensuring continued validity and liaising with colleagues across SHP where appropriate.

Administer the recording and reporting of accidents, incidents and near miss reports.

Undertake DSE/workstation assessments for SHP staff and provide reports to Human Resources.

Coordinate with Client's Corporate Health and Safety Unit regarding Corporate Warning System.

Provide administrative support to the Compliance, Health & Safety Manager in the exercise of his/her duties.

Lead on implementation of new compliancy systems relating to fire, asbestos and health and safety.

Responsible for carrying out training on current and new compliancy and health and safety systems to staff.

Responsible for coordinating health and safety training for new starters and existing staff including all online training.
