Role Purpose

  • The function adopts best practice "source to contract" and supplier relationship management methodologies; driving the delivery of high quality products and services, reducing overall costs to the business and improving operating efficiencies.
  • The role is accountable for providing a procurement delivery service in support of UK Defence Frameworks
  • The Supply Chain Specialist will support the Programme team in providing the MoD customer with bestin class supply chain management support.
  • The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for executing the timely delivery of Taskings and for working collaboratively with key stakeholders within the business to execute the procurement strategy for the full range of procurement projects.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in order to influence behaviours and ensure appropriate levels of assurance to the customer.
  • Efficient & effective management of supply chain contractual obligations, KPI's and deliveries. Provide update and information on Supplier Performance to support reporting.
  • Maintain awareness of the restrictions, controls and accreditations that are placed upon suppliers working in a Defence environment, ensuring the supplier base don't threaten internal compliance.
