As a Quality Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the Sanitation Manager to ensure that the section complies with the Sanitation requirements including compliance to all cleaning schedules, verification and validation of sanitation procedures.


Additionally, you will be tasked with supporting the HACCP management and compliance within the section; planning, supporting and delivering quality related training needs to the section team.

You will also support any internal or external Quality related audits and inspections and any quality incident investigations and root cause analysis.


How you will contribute

QHSE:

Lead the sanitation compliance for the section ensuring quality policy compliance.

Ensure full completion of routine cleaning activities to the required standard.

Lead and facilitate the section periodic equipment cleaning activities

Review the routine infrastructure cleaning activities ensuring the expected standards have been achieved.

Ensure post cleaning inspections have been completed in full and on time.

Drive high standards of sanitation across all areas of the section at all times.

Support the manufacturing teams to embed quality practices and drive strong GMP compliance.

Support the implementation of 5S across the section.

Ensure CCP and sPP compliance within the section.

Primary accountability around paperwork completion / record management.

Ensure any immediate food safety or quality risks are assessed and controlled.

To facilitate the management of section non-conformances driven by product failure, compliance gaps, internal audits or complaints.

Lead consumer compaints reduction with a loss analysis and improvement mindset ensuring business results are delivered.


In any quality or food safety event in the section lead the control of non-conforming products ensuring quality policy compliance.


Lead, facilitate and participate in any problem solving activity following a quality incident ensuring root cause is understood and corrective/preventive actions defined.

To provide training, coaching and support for problem solving techniques and tools.

Deliver quality related training within the section.

Complete and follow up internal Quality compliance audits

Support and participate fully in site accreditations for food safety and Quality compliance audits


Communication:

Provide the section with regular updates on compliance, trends and recommendations for areas of improvement

Immediate communication of any quality high risks to the site Quality and Food Safety Manager and agree activities.


Change Management:


Support any new product introduction and section change activity ensuring the site change management process is adhered to whilst providing quality input in to the process.


What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • Quality auditing skills. HACCP, Sanitation and hygienic design knowledge.
  • Degree or equivalent e.g. Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Nutrition, Food Technology or related field.
  • Experience at driving strong GMP compliance.
  • Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including internal audits and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and issues resolution.
  • Practical experience of systems, implementation and control.
  • Attending to detail and following written instructions.
  • Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Work experience in food or pharmaceutical industry (food technology, central corporate function, R&D, quality systems implementation, auditing, manufacturing, project management and supply chain).
  • Preferable.
  • Practical experience of developing and implementing Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
  • Preferable.

Work schedule: 100%, fixed term contract (until the end of March 2024 with potential for extension)
