PMUK Home Appliance Division are looking for a Health, Safety & Environment Senior Advisor to join the Health, Safety & Environment department, who will be primarily responsible for coordinating, supporting, and advising the Business on all aspects with regards to Health, Safety and Environment.


This role will require working closely and effectively with the senior Management Team to ensure that the HS&E Objectives and Targets are achieved and aligned to PMUK strategies.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:


  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, systems of work, rules, and regulations are implemented, adhered to and are reviewed, updated, and communicated when necessary to provide a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
  • Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
  • Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
  • Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
  • Ensure that safety audits inspections (5S) schedules are maintained, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, risk assessments, lone working procedures are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Liaise with external health & safety governing bodies, consultants, insurers, claims handlers, solicitors, suppliers etc.
  • Support and participate in monthly Health & Safety Executive Committee meetings, ensuring agreed actions are completed within agreed deadlines. Provide regular reports to HS&E Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Inform the Business of all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislative changes.
  • Support management and control of budgets, expense forecasts and Capex project costs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:


Education:


Essential Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (General).
  • IEMA Certificate.
  • CoSHH and Risk Assessor trained.
  • Proven experience in similar role.

Desirable Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or higher qualification).
  • ISO 14001 / 45001 Internal Auditor trained.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with confident decisionmaking skills.
  • Ability to work in and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Additional Specifications:


  • IOSH membership.
