As a Head of Bids, Tenders & Proposal Management, you'll contribute to our purpose to build a healthier nation by leading the Bids and Tenders function through the bid process and gate reviews, interpreting, and analysing commercial data to ensure that business decisions are made in line with the overall sales Plan and NH business strategy.
As part of the Senior Leadership team of the Corporate Sales function, the role will incorporate strategic business development and service delivery as well as people and business management.
The role will manage multiple bids and tenders running concurrently across a range of health, wellbeing and clinical services, across all payor groups, primarily Corporate, NHS and PMI.
As our Head of Bids, Tenders & Proposal Management you will:
Lead the Bids and Tenders team to ensure the bid process end to end is managed, requirements are captured, clearly understood, and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
Manage the technical strategy for the bid (in conjunction with sales and the business delivery area), assessing the risks and opportunitiesManagement and ownership of the bid schedule to ensure the technical proposal and cost base are prepared on time.
Manage production of the bid documentation and proposal to satisfy the bid requirements and ensure that the quality and content have been optimised.
To succeed as a Head of Bids, Tenders & Proposal Management we're looking for:
Previous experience within a similar bids/tender or B2B sales role
APMP Practitioner qualification preferred
Demonstrable track record of successful bids and tenders to corporate customers/clients
Ability to manage a comprehensive CRM system, providing regular management reports on opportunity and forecast revenue
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Able to use judgement and display a high level of discretion, confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
Resilient with a positive impact on others; able to balance complex and conflicting demands, with sound influencing skills
Team leadership / management skills
