Research Associate - Drug Discovery

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated research associate to join our Drug Discovery team at T-Therapeutics. The team is focused on harnessing the power of T cell biology in developing novel therapeutics for treating cancer.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Generation of expression constructs using molecular cloning techniques
• Work with primary immune cell cultures and cell lines
• Cell line engineering by making gene KO and overexpression
• Involvement in mouse model development and sample processing
• Multiparameter flow cytometry panel set up and analysis
• Protein expression, purification and basic characterisation
• Precise recording of daily laboratory work and
• Ability to use softwares such as excel, Prism, Flowjo and Geneious Prime DNA analysis software for data analysis and generation of high quality data for presentation

About You

• Bsc or Msc degree in a relevant area (e.g. Molecular and cellular biology or relevant discipline with experience in experimental research)
• Molecular biology expertise in construct designs and cloning
• Strong track record in cell culture and cell line engineering
• Cell biology experiences in T cell biology, hematologic cells or cancer cells is desirable
• Immunoassay techniques such as ELISA, ELISpot, flowbased assays are desirable
• Experience in antibody discovery is desirable
• The ability to evaluate results and communicate findings with the team to achieve desired goals
• Proactive attitude and drive
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Capacity to trouble shoot
• Organised and good time management

Salary:
£30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
