Campop members include university teaching officers who are employed to deliver teaching and conduct research, post-doctoral researchers who work on their own projects or larger projects run by university teaching officers, and PhD students.

Campop is based in the Department of Geography and the Faculty of History, and this post will be based in the Department of Geography under the direction of Campop's Co-Director in Geography, Professor Alice Reid.


The role is part time hours per week - and the post-holder will have a varied portfolio of tasks including assisting with the delivery and evaluation of materials for public outreach activities; organisation of seminars and conferences; undertaking administrative tasks for Campop; library supervision and maintenance.

The successful applicant should be educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience. Experience of minute taking/writing, compiling reports, filing and archiving or library management is desirable. Experience with outreach and communication for academic projects and providing support for conferences and meetings would be beneficial. IT skills and excellent organisation and communications skills are essential.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2024 in the first instance.
