The role is to act as focal point to support a specialist project involving the safe, compliant and cost effective management of liquid waste collected by road tankers.

The aim is to develop and maintain sound working relationships with the key project stakeholders and to ensure the delivery to specific key performance indicators (KPI's)

Key Roles & responsibilities

  • ASCO focal point, based at the Bacton Gas terminal
  • Develop and deliver an effective communications plan
  • Provide support to the ASCO operations in the Southern UK with a focus on the tanker management requirements Manage all documentation in compliance with legislation
  • Coordinating tanker movements depending on analytical composition, managing change where required in a timely manner.
  • Work with the tanker loading team, take samples and undertake basic lab analysis to fully understand that contents of the load prior to despatch
  • Maintain site records and owning the tanker tracker responsibilities.
  • Plan, arrange and oversee the compliant delivery/removal of material from site in tankers
  • Develop, write up and share suitable reports
  • Suggest and help deliver innovations for safety, efficiency and cost control
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)

  • Clientdriven and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Commercial acumen and motivated to produce continuous improvements and cost savings.
  • Accustomed to working effectively in a challenging environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory testing for flashpoint, water contents and organics (COD)
  • Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numeric skills, diligence.
Desirable Qualifications/Competencies

  • Industry recognised safety certification such as IOSH
  • Awareness of relevant UK legislation
  • Understanding of UK Oil & Gas industry
  • Understanding of Good Lab Practice (GLP)
