Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a leading business who are in search of a Claims Handler to join their growing team.


The role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Claims Handler to join a growing, successful team. You will be responsible for handling a variety of commercial insurance claims including liability and property.

You will be expected to ensure that all claims are compliant within industry regulations whilst providing excellent service to the client by achieving fast and fair settlement.

The overall purpose of the role is to deliver an exceptional customer experience and to handle claims in an efficient, proactive and customer focused manner.

Job description:


  • Handling commercial claims with all relevant parties from initial notification to settlement
  • Ensure an exceptional claim service is delivered to our clients
  • Requesting and gathering documents and information from clients
  • Maintaining accurate records via our Acturis system and producing reports as required
  • Negotiating settlement of claims both verbally and written
  • Reviewing and, if necessary, challenging Insurer decisions
  • Advising clients on general queries and insurance claims procedures
  • Potential to build claims team as business grows

Claims Handler - Person Specification:


  • Ideally at least three years previous experience in a similar role offering good technical competence of general insurance policies including motor insurance claims
  • A good working knowledge of MS365 (Outlook, Word etc.) as well as insurance administration systems such as Acturis
  • Good standard of general education and literacy
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to be flexible, learn and progress
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Reliable and supportive team player
  • Attainment of or progress towards CII qualifications would be an advantage

Based on the outskirts of East Grinstead - Must be Driver due to location
