Our client a leading bespoke engineering company based in Bodmin is looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join their well-established team.


Your main purpose of the role is to produce components in accordance with drawing specifications to correct quality standards and to required timescales.

To support the company in its initiatives to maintain efficient production of high-quality standards.


Pay rate:

- £13 per hour (dependent on experience)


Shifts:


  • Monday to Friday, 7am 4pm
  • 12.15pm finish on a Friday

Main Duties:


  • Study engineering drawings to determine tooling, and check materials meet requirements
  • Examine completed components to ensure they are made within designated specifications, using precision measuring equipment
  • Maintain written records as required e.g. job times, supplies, scrap. Communicate production schedule and progress updates to supervisor and others as required.
  • Replace worn tools, using hand tools and sharpen dull tools using bench grinders
  • Set up and operate machines, following correct procedures
