We are actively seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our highly skilled team preparing tender submissions, interacting with new and existing clients, and engaging in the development of Junior Estimators within the Company.
Responsibilities
- Sending/receiving enquiries to/from suppliers & specialist subcontractors
- Preparing takeoffs from drawings
- Inputting take offs and quotations onto Estimating software
- Accessing and linking information on 4Projects
- Preparation of tender price
- Attending Midtender review meetings with Clients (Ireland & UK)
- Presentation of tender to Estimating/Bid Manager for approval prior to submittal
- Detailed tender submission
- Post tender review meetings with Clients (Ireland & UK)
- Detailed tender handover report to Project Delivery Team
- Assisting in the development of Junior Estimators
Qualifications
- 5+ GCSE's (Grade C & above)
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- 3+ years' estimating experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
- Experience using estimating software
- Experience in attending mid/post tender review meetings
Abilities & Skills
- High attention to detail
- Proven ability to deliver high quality work within strict time frames
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload
- Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team
- Capacity to work independently with limited supervision.
- A "can do" attitude with a strong work ethic and execution skills
- Excellent team player
- Willing to travel to Ireland and the UK for client meetings
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem solver
- Adaptive and resilient, responding positively to changes in deadlines and processes
