We currently have a

Reliability and Efficiency Facilitator position available for a motivated individual to join our team in

the South West. Joining us on a full-time basis, you will receive a competitive salary of

£30,588 - £34,972 per annum plus excellent benefits.


About the role
As the

Reliability and Efficiency Facilitator you will work:

  • To improve the reliability and efficiency of the assets at Sewage Pumping Stations (SPS) and Sewage Treatment Works (STW) within Waste Water Services (WWS).
  • Improve the consistency of site planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and/or progressive maintenance activities in order to improve the overall performance of the site.
  • In conjunction with the Reliability & Efficiency Manager, work to advance a culture of Lean and RCM, based on Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) wherever possible, within WWS.

What you'll be doing:


  • Manage the three Reliability Technicians
  • Undertake Lean & RCM reviews/workshops at Sewage Pumping Stations (SPS) and Sewage Treatment Works (STW) within Waste Water Service (WWS)
  • Plan and coordinate these Lean & RCM workshops
  • Manage the completion of actions derived from these workshops
  • Aid in the roll out of 5S within WWS
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations, including the use of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), following equipment breakdowns and implement solutions
  • Manage the STW Inlet Screen Maintenance Programme, along with an overview of contract expenditure
  • Be involved in the development and use of Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) tools and techniques
  • Carry out asset data surveys and ensure the correct assets are in place
  • Identify equipment modifications to improve reliability or allow maintenance to be conducted online
  • Facilitate the creation of Operator and MEICA Maintenance Scheduled Tasks (MSTs), or equivalent, to increase the reliability of the assets.
  • Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to increase consistency
  • Liaise with the WWS Recovery & Treatment Area Manager, Area Maintenance Manager and other members of the team to ensure site operation and asset maintenance is optimised
  • Work closely with Managers and SWW Craftspersons and Contractors to deliver equipment replacements or modifications, as and when required
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members
  • Use PCs and associated computer hardware and software in order to complete your role effectively
  • To deal effectively with customer queries when directly approached and pass information up the management line where appropriate
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely

What we are looking for:


  • Knowledge in areas of process, systems, legislation, policies, and procedures including, but not limited to, Lean and RCM activities
  • Inspires others to perform by setting a good example and promotes personal development
  • Previous experience of operating and maintaining complex processes and working with modern technology
  • IOSH Health & Safety Qualification is desirable
  • Full UK Drivers Licence, able to travel around the work area using company vehicle
  • Experience of working in a team and an understanding of the importance of teamwork
  • Proven experience of working with computers and software packages
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
