Join us as a Technical Lead / Software Engineer

  • This is an opportunity for a technicallyminded individual to join us to design, produce, review, and implement working code across the lifecycle of the platform
  • Advance your career by influencing principle engineers, architects in the domain, platform and service ownership and key senior stakeholders to drive the platform's defensive strategy

What you'll do

You'll be working with product owners, scrum masters, and platform architects in the strategic design of software to deliver a resilient, future-proof codebase.

We'll also expect you to liaise with principle engineers, domain architects and other key stakeholders.

You'll also be response for:

  • Learning how the platform works and how it supports our business objectives
  • Producing resilient and longlived software and acting flexibly to cope with future needs
  • Driving forward the design and delivery of intentional, defensive architecture while formulating emergent design through innovative ideas, experimentation, and prototyping
  • Designing and developing software strategy with a focus on the automation of build, testing, and deployment activities by using executable patterns

The skills you'll need
We're looking for someone with full-stack experience in software design and implementation.

You'll be able to use coding languages, including VB,.NET and C# or similar object-orientated languages, to solve complex problems across a legacy platform.

You'll also need to understand complex requirements analysis capture and validation against business and system requirements.

Additionally, you'll demonstrate:

  • Experience of leading programming best practices, especially around resilience, scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability, and performance
  • Good collaboration skills with the ability to work with business teams to produce pragmatic solutions that work for the business and for protecting robust service provision
  • An understanding of information security policies and practices within the financial sector
  • Great stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a simple way
