Conveyancing Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and skilled Conveyancing Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our client's dynamic legal team. As a crucial support pillar for their solicitors, you will have a key role in ensuring smooth conveyancing processes.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Full Support to Solicitors:
    Collaborate closely with solicitors to provide comprehensive support for efficient operations.
  • Correspondence Preparation:
    Use the case management system to prepare accurate and timely correspondence.
  • Client Interaction:
    Assist clients through telephone and in-person interactions with a professional approach.
  • Filing Systems Administration:
    Handle filing systems including daily filing, opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files.
  • Mail Preparation and Dispatch:
    Prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Diary Management:
    Efficiently manage diaries for scheduling appointments, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Scanning and Photocopying:
    Coordinate scanning and photocopying of paperwork for organized document management.
  • Audio Typing:
    Transcribe dictations accurately using proficient audio typing skills.
  • Additional Duties:
    Undertake diverse responsibilities as needed for the smooth operation of the legal team.
  • Client Correspondence:
    Address routine client correspondence promptly to uphold excellent client service.

About the Person:
  • Residential Conveyancing Knowledge:
    Show excellent knowledge and experience in residential conveyancing to handle complexities effectively.
  • Initiative and Proactivity:
    Demonstrate initiative by independently handling searches and ID checks to proactively support the team.
  • Speed and Accuracy:
    Maintain high levels of speed and accuracy to meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Audio Typing Proficiency:
    Exhibit excellent audio typing skills from dictation for precise transcription of legal documents.
  • Communication Skills:
    Have a good telephone manner and be comfortable engaging with clients both on the phone and in person.
  • Organizational Skills:
    Be highly organized, methodical, and adaptable in managing tasks, files, and responsibilities.
