Job description
We are looking for general labourers to join our multidisciplinary construction teams. Reporting to the Shift supervisor you will be a key part of the build team constructing luxury holiday lodges.
The site builds and fits out wooden framed lodges on site from base to final fix following a set schedule of works.
Responsibilities:
As a general labourer you will be pivotal to the success of the build of various models of two and three bedroom wooden lodges
This may include:
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising a plumber, an electrician, carpenters and general labourers.
- Base construction, fitting of insulation. Boarding
- Baton work, assisting in measuring cutting and pinning of materials
- Assistance fitting roofing, windows etc.
- Kitchen and bathroom fitting
- Following production guidelines and specifications.
- Following health and safety standards.
- Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
- Ensuring all work is carried out to the companies high quality standards.
- Finalising and packaging lodges making sure they are safe for shipment.
- Operating and maintaining machinery.
- Working at height.
- Meeting production targets.
- Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty.
- Performing other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous skills and experience working in a manufacturing facility or a solid construction industry background.
- Experience / ability to read and follow technical drawings
- The ability to work as an individual and as part of a wider team.
- Wide range of general construction skills
- Professional and approachable manner.
- Problem solving nature.
- Manufacturing/Construction qualifications will be an advantage.
- CSCS Card or equivalent would be an advantage
- Working at Height CPD / ROSPA approved accreditation advantageous
