Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team.

As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with precision.


Responsibilities:


  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machine settings
  • Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job
  • Position and align sheet metal on the machine bed
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of bends
  • Make adjustments to machine settings as needed
  • Inspect finished parts for defects or imperfections
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines as required
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols

Skills:


  • Proficient in operating press brake machines
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Familiarity with hand tools used in sheet metal work
  • Ability to fabricate and assemble sheet metal components
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machine issues
We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.


Job Types:

Salary:
£12.00-£13.00 per hour
