A leading specialist in steel frame fabrication and construction is expanding its team and seeking a dedicated Estimator.

They specialise in delivering high-quality steel structures for a diverse range of projects and are looking for an experienced professional to contribute to their continued success.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyse project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for steel frame construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information for estimating purposes.
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to assess project scope.
  • Utilise industry knowledge to recommend costsaving measures and value engineering options.
  • Prepare comprehensive and detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labour, and overhead costs.
  • Stay informed about market trends, material costs, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and uptodate estimates.
  • Work closely with the project team to refine estimates during the bid process.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on steel frame projects.
  • Solid understanding of steel frame construction methods and materials.
  • Proficient in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with estimating software/tools is an advantage.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
