A leading specialist in steel frame fabrication and construction is expanding its team and seeking a dedicated Estimator.

They specialise in delivering high-quality steel structures for a diverse range of projects and are looking for an experienced professional to contribute to their continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for steel frame construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information for estimating purposes.
Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to assess project scope.
Utilise industry knowledge to recommend costsaving measures and value engineering options.
Prepare comprehensive and detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labour, and overhead costs.
Stay informed about market trends, material costs, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and uptodate estimates.
Work closely with the project team to refine estimates during the bid process.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on steel frame projects.
Solid understanding of steel frame construction methods and materials.
Proficient in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with estimating software/tools is an advantage.
Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field.
