Description

We are seeking a Lecturer in Level 3 Maths to deliver an outstanding student experience to young adults, effectively preparing them to progress in their studies or contribute to the modern world of work.

With innovative and engaging practices, your teaching should inspire and motivate students to excel in their field of study and work.


Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching on courses specified by the Head of Department/Curriculum Area Manager, to include GCSE and Functional Skills Maths.
  • Responsibility to the Head of Department for student discipline and pastoral activities where appropriate within your groups
  • Participating on in Learner Voice activities.
  • Participating actively in the enrolment, monitoring, profiling and assessment of students.
  • Working effectively across different curriculum areas to ensure the quality of delivery in order to maximise the progress and achievement of students in line with internal and external benchmarks
  • Producing Plans of Learning (POLs) and lesson plans and appropriate resources
  • Developing Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) on the relevant electronic platform and providing support for learners in line with the requirements of the course.
  • Contributing to development of CPD activities within the department (self and others)
  • Implementing and promoting College regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Assisting the Curriculum Area Manager with costings and control of materials and equipment when specified.

Education & Training

  • GCSE 4 or nationally recognised qualification in Maths or equivalent (E.g. GCSE A*C, CSE 1, O-Level A-C)
  • GCSE 4 or nationally recognised qualification in Maths or equivalent (E.g. GCSE A*C, CSE 1, O-Level A-C)
  • A relevant teaching qualification or working towards this qualification
Experience

  • Experience of delivery of GCSE Maths
  • Experience of student pastoral care
