Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced
Female Healthcare Assistant to support an adult female in Exeter who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, significant sleep apnoea and receives BIPAP non-invasive ventilation.

She requires monitoring of Oxygen saturation and heart rate.

She suffers from frequent chest infections and is unable to bear her own weight due to weakness and limited function of her limbs.

She is verbal but has limited mobility with the use of a specialist electric wheelchair and full transfer with a hoist.


This service user lives in her own home and likes to go out and socialise in the evening with her friends.

She likes spending time doing activities and plans to attend university. She enjoys her independence with support. Join our amazing team and help us make a real difference.


You will be working 1:1

You need to be an experienced carer. It is not essential that you have specific experience working with complex needs as you will get all the training you need. You will be trained and supported by our outstanding team of specialists and nurses. This will involve training and shadowing until one of our nurses is happy to sign you off as competent.
Training is paid for.

Pay Rates:

05 p/hr Monday - Thursday:

£13.30 p/hr Friday:

£15.

30 p/hr Saturday - Sunday:

£18.30 p/hr Bank Holidays

Shifts:


8pm - 8am, 5 Nights Per Week Available, Monday - Friday


It's vital that we have staff consistency and so you will be required to pick up a minimum number of shifts.

You will be able to pick up more shifts each week if you would like to. Weekday shifts and Weekend shifts are available.

Flexibility would be appreciated, but we are willing to consider your personal circumstances if there are days/times you are unable to work.


Full mileage paid from home to this location in EXETER up to a maximum of 20 miles each way.

Permanent and bank contracts available. You can work full or part time.


You must be patient and caring and able to work on your own while providing care as part of a team.
