Job Title:
Maintenance/Handyperson

Reports to:
Registered Manager

Job Overview:
(Note:
In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required)

To provide maintenance services, in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager

To action both planned and reactive maintenance issues to prioritise in terms of urgency

Location:

Abbeydale Nursing Home, but you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.

Working Hours:
5 days over a 7-day period, as agreed with the manager. There may be a need to work

Role Specific Duties:
Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of maintenance implementation and delivery

Implement actions to meet and maintain maintenance standards

Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise

Ensure the Service Users' rights are protected

Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

Working with Others:
Develop effective working relationships with the other employees within Abbeydale Nursing Home

Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the service's quality assurance programme

Cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation and induction of all new employees

Leading by Example:
Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth

Personal Responsibilities:
Take responsibility for your own professional development through performance and development reviews and undertake any relevant training

To maintain maintenance skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required in order to maintain up to date knowledge

Job Types:

Salary:
£12.50 per hour
