An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, hardworking and experienced nurse to lead the Flintshire District Nursing Team.


As matron, you will have responsibility for the delivery of high quality, responsive, safe and effective care that improves patient outcomes and patient experience.

You will require proven skills and working knowledge of leading and an ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills. There will be an expectation to lead across diverse team, collaborating closely with other organisations, demonstrating excellent inter
- personal and communication skills with the ability to forge and maintain relationships with a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff


It would be desirable for applicants to have experience at working at senior level within multidisciplinary teams who are keen to enhance change and provide visible inspiration.


You will be expected to provide leadership and direction to a number of team leads, in order to develop and enhance excellent standards of patient care.

The roles focus will be on service improvement, ensuring high standards of quality and safety and provision of visible leadership to the geographical teams

You will require a high level of organisational skill and have a resourceful and professional approach to work.

The role will also include being part of the 7 day community matron of the day role on a rota basis.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
