Repairs / Asset Surveyor
Location:
Enfield - Hybrid
Salary: £33,075 - £42,000
Hours: 37.5
Reporting to: Repairs and Asset Manager
Who we are
Our Association was founded in 1966 by a group of local church groups in response to the desperate need in the local area for affordable rental housing.
We are a diverse, fun and friendly team whose mission is to provide high quality and affordable support and services to those in housing need.
Role Purpose
Our advisors and officers provide technical or professional expertise and advice to internal and external customers.
They are expected to give support to our front line teams, and work closely with our senior leaders to deliver great services across the organisation.
They will provide key support in the implementation of policy and procedure and may manage service delivery teams or individuals.
Core Responsibilities
- Delivering the planned capital/cyclical works programme(s) including pre and post inspections, preparing specifications/ drawings, preparing tenders, managing works in progress, resident consultation, ensuring work is H&S complaint.
- To supervise contracts for responsive repairs, major /cyclical works and servicing to ensure quality of work and response times are contractually compliant
- To supervise the void process

What we are looking for
Essential
- Degree or other relevant professional qualifications/certification in Building Construction/Surveying or equivalent
- Experience of managing budgets and forecasting performance.
- Project management indepth understanding and practical experience of project management principals and implementation.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyse complex situations and have the confidence to make difficult decisions and implement them.
- Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to understand, identify and respond to the needs of customers.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
- Selfmotivated and confident in own ability and achieve results.
- Personal integrity and honesty.
- Team player.
Desirable
- Ability to use SDM or similar housing management database systems
- Working in a similar role in the Social Housing Sector
- Experience of working in a challenging and demanding environment.
- Ability to manage own workload, to meet conflicting deadlines and prioritise work accordingly.
- Evidence of providing a customer focused service that takes account of the needs of customer, organisation and external agencies.
