Join us, we're an Investors in People Silver Standard Company and we have a rapidly growing Ecology Team at Ground Control


Ground Control's Professional Services department has a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and commercially minded
Senior or Principal Ecologist for our in-house Ecology Consultancy.


We're looking for a someone at Senior level or above who wants to expand their current skill set and project management skills in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management of UK Habitat Classification Surveys, (licenced) protected species surveys;
  • Building tenders and creating complex fee quotations at speed;
  • Producing complex technical reports (PEA reports, BNG reports, protected species reports, Habitat Management Plans, BREEAM reports, HRAs and EcIAs);
  • Managing medium to large sized projects with ability to track financial progress;
  • Line management of junior ecologists
  • Logistical and legislative problem solving

Fully flexible working
This role is a fully remote position, working from home and in the field in your local area. You have the flexibility of managing your own time without having to visit a office location.

  • Have high attention to detail, especially in technical reporting;
  • Have clear and consistent communication skills;
  • Be personable and a team player, even on tough days; and
  • Hold a full UK driving license
