Overview
2fawcett are currently seeking a
Stock Controller on a permanent basis, in Sparkhill, Birmingham.

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks within the warehouse, including receiving and storing incoming shipments, preparing orders for shipment, organising inventory, and maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment.


Responsibilities of the Stock Controller

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality of products.
  • Properly label and store incoming inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Prepare outgoing orders by accurately picking, packing, and labelling items according to customer specifications.
  • Utilise inventory management systems to track and update inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organised warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, following proper safety guidelines.
  • Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and provide suggestions to optimise warehouse operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements of the Stock Controller

  • Prior experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in inventory management.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Salary:
£23,000
.00 per year
