About the Role:

Are you a GP working in Ipswich or East Suffolk who wants to improve health services through integration?

You might have some leadership experience already, or you might be looking for the opportunity to develop your leadership portfolio.

Perhaps you have found that leadership jobs always seem to be taken by a different type of person.

Working as an Associate Medical Director in Ipswich and East Suffolk (I&ES) could be a great opportunity for you, and for us.

You will support the development and delivery of the long-term plan of the ICB through the Ipswich & East Alliance Health and Wellbeing Committee (AHWC), using your considerable experience of general practice to integrate the strategies of all relevant partner organisations.

As a practicing General Practitioner, you will be responsible for developing one medical community within the Alliance.

You will be a registered medical practitioner with the regulatory body (GMC), and a practicing GP.

Although this position requires engagement with a broad range of professionals, a background in and support from general practice will be essential for success, and much of your work will be focussed on primary care in the first instance.
