Do you have experience working with children? Would you like to combine a love of sports and education in the same role?


Empowering Learning are supporting a school based in the DE22 area on an upcoming, exciting role as a sport & learning mentor.

The role is due to start in March 2024 and working hours will be 08:30-16:00 Monday to Friday.

The main duties within this role will be:

  • Working with children who struggle to engage within lessons
  • Mentoring children who present with challenging behaviours
  • Running break and lunch time clubs based around sports and teamwork
  • Liaising with the class teacher around progress of the children
  • Supporting in the delivery of PE across the school
  • Running a breakfast or after school club two times per week

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children
  • Is qualified to coach at least one sport
  • Can build good, professional relationships with the children
  • Will be an excellent communicator
  • Can help children to engage within lessons

Salary:
£19,675.34-£22,343.12 per year
