Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward thinking therapy support worker interested in developing their stroke rehabilitation skills both within the Acute Stroke Unit and as part of our outreach service in the community offering Stroke Enhanced Early Supported Discharge from the acute hospital.

You will be an integral part of our friendly team working with patient's following stroke.


Interdisciplinary working and patient centred care is fundamental to our practice, to enable patients to achieve their optimal level of independence.

You will require excellent interpersonal skills to enable you to work with a range of staff from various professional backgrounds.

You will provide rehabilitation following goals set by senior clinicians within the interdisciplinary team using skills from Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language therapy and Nursing.

The ability to develop and sustain good working relationships with colleagues and peers is essential.


You must demonstrate an empathetic approach and be responsive to patients needs and be flexible in your approach to work and adaptable in carrying out your tasks, managing your own workload and working unsupervised at times.
